Bright Club: Failure July 17th Wilmington Arms

In July and August London will welcome thousands and thousands of losers. The stench of failure will jam the roads, paralyse the stations, and cost Londoners a fortune for years to come. To greet them, we thought it might be useful to start to think about failure now.

Come along and join our cast of comedians and University researchers for a night of hilarity and learning stuffed with disaster, tragedy, self-delusion, slips, errors, screwups and mistakes. Tonight’s performers are:

Nick Doody, comedian, angry man and genius
Kirsty Newton, comedy songwriter to the stars
Jenny Rohn, cell biologist
John Eyre, civil engineer
Kimberley Bryon-Dodd, molecular biologist
Martina Dove, psychologist
Carol O’Sullivan, translator
Steve Cross, public engagement guru and occasional evaluator

We’ll be smashing all of this together and watching it fall down on July 17th at the Wilmington Arms in Clerkenwell, 69, Rosebery Ave, Clerkenwell, London, EC1R 4RL. Doors open 7.30pm, and tickets (for a fiver) are available in advance from http://www.wegottickets.com/event/176027

Come join us, and laugh in the face of losing!
