Back in 2010 and 2011, Bright Club made weekly podcasts, featuring some of the researchers who had performed at live events, alongside comedians and anchor Steve Cross. They’re basically 15 minute long chats, in which clever people try and explain deep and important issues, while two giggling idiots throw them off as much as possible. You’ll see what I mean.
You can still download the podcasts from the iTunes store:

Or from an RSS feed, if you’re an Apple-phobe:

Bright Club podcasts were supported by the Science and Technology Facilities Council (who paid for some of the gear used to record and edit them) and the Wellcome Trust (who paid for studio time and the freelance work involved in pulling them together). They were produced by Martin Austwick, Neil Roberts and Steve Cross, with artist management by Miriam Miller.
The opinions expressed in a Bright Club podcast are not those of the employers of any of the people involved. They’re usually not even the opinions of the people involved. We just tried to make up funny and slightly challenging things as we went along. The podcasts were recorded in the studio of the UCL Ear Institute on Grays Inn Road.
